Sprinkle Kindness Scholarship Program
The Lonely Oak Arts ‘Sprinkle Kindness Scholarship Program’ is an exciting and creative initiative that will grant a $250 scholarship to up to 4 local students in 2024. The application is open to elementary through college students in San Luis Obispo County (ages 5-21) who are making a meaningful difference in their community by leading with kindness.
Scholarship applications must fit these minimum criteria:
1. Applicant has demonstrated a commitment to giving back and making a difference in their community and consistently demonstrates that they embody our core values and principles such as Kindness, Empathy, Respect, & Collaboration. 2. Submit a short written essay introducing themselves and why they are applying for this scholarship. We will respond to the email, you do not need to include any personal contact information or address at this time. We will collect that from a parent or guardian, for any applicant under age 16, at the time of award.
3. The community/volunteer/extracurricular activities must have been within the last 12 months. Preference is given for activities in "the 805" but is not a requirement.
4. The applicant must have lived AND attend school within San Luis Obispo County, CA within the last 12 months.
Pleas submit applications by email no later than 4pm PST Friday, July 5th, 2024 to lonelyoakarts@gmail.com.
Applications will be reviewed and the selected recipients will be contacted to receive their award. You may chose to accept the scholarship funds personally or donate them to a community organization of your choice.
